Birthdays, Family, and Fantasy Football

Let's start this one off with a bang!

Pounds Lost This Week: 4 Pounds
Pounds Lost Since Surgery: 96 Pounds
Pounds Lost Overall: 138 Pounds

Pounds to go until GOAL: 57 Pounds

I am one step closer! I am pretty proud of myself this week! I did good!!! Not to brag on myself, but 96 pounds in just 7 1/2 months is pretty freaking awesome. I work hard for this. I deserve to brag on myself.

So, the focus this week was on birthdays. For our family, September is exploding with birthdays. Have I mentioned what our family means the world to us. We are so incredibly blessed to have families like ours. Everyone is so supportive and love us.

During the week, it was pretty normal. Work. School. Home. Repeat. I do have a busy lifestyle. It seems like we are always on the go, but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. We enjoy our life. We enjoy the busyness and the moving. It keeps us young. Yes, there are times when we are utterly exhausted, but to us, it's worth it. We are enjoying life while we can and we don't regret it. It's our simple life and we are cherishing every single moment.

On Friday, it was Papa's birthday. My Papa is pretty pretty special to me. He's our pastor and the family leader. He officiated our wedding and has been there for us ever since. I feel blessed that he is in our life and that he leads us in as we are called to serve. However, we didn't celebrate his birthday Friday. That will be later on down the page....

We went to the Pittsburg County Fair. Oh, the memories. I was a big a 4-H girl. I am a HUGE advocate for 4-H. It taught me leadership, citizenship, teamwork, and so many other skills that I actually use in the workforce today. I have lifetime friends made and I've met some pretty awesome men and women who have been role models in my life. One of the only downsides to 4-H is the connection with OSU! HA! Just kidding! Don't defriend me now! It's football season, I gotta get em while I can!!

Anyways, we took Miss Ry to ride the rides. You can tell she's related to me. She wants to ride as many rides as she could. I was pretty pumped about riding the rides too. I used to dread going to these things because I always worried that I would be too big for the rides. I would even make excuses "I don't feel good" or "That doesn't look like fun" when deep down, I was dying to ride them. I LOVE rides. I'm terrified of heights but love the thrill of a good ride!! I wanted to ride them all. Two probs: #1: Johnathan does like rides. Boo #2: Rylee isn't quite big enough for some of those rides. But I did get to ride the Mexican hat ride. It was awesome. Again, two probs: #1: Remember, when I had a huge belly and was wedged in the seat? That is no longer a problem but I move around and even up out of the seat and kinda got scared I was gonna fall out (remember I rode this by myself). #2: My wedding ring kept slipping. Can you believe that?! It was a great night.

Another downside?! The smell of funnel cakes and cotton candy. You know I must love my niece to buy her some cotton candy and let her eat it in front of me. Torture. But the most toturous thing was they served Red Velvet funnel cake. I have never wanted funnel cake so flipping bad in my whole entire life. Red velvet + funnel cake....why?! Why?! Will power did prevail. I walked away...cursing the snack booth and red velvet cakes....but I did walk away.

Saturday, we slept in. And by slept in I mean 10am. It was heavenly. I can't tell you the last time we slept that late. We just around and just did nothing. Wonderful. Finally we got up and went to swim some laps at the Wellness Center. Swimming is my favorite kind of exercise. I feel faster and stronger. I'm not sweaty and I'm working just as hard if not harder. I LOVE it! I just wish the therapy pool was open. We would have enjoyed some time in the "hot tub."

Saturday evening, we met Johnathan's family at La Cazadorez in Atoka. It's pretty good food. I had this Shrimp La Mexicana and it was soooooooooo good! Again, I just want to stress how blessed I am to party of Johnathan's family. It was John's birthday. We celebrated John and Johnathan's birthay. John is a pretty amazing man. He also has been there for us since the wedding. We are pretty blessed to have him in our lives. We also got to spend some time with the kiddos. I can't believe how big Amy, Dylan, Trent and now Jasper are getting, Jasper is getting so big. It was a great evening with some pretty remarkable people.

Sunday, we went to church. We love our church and love serving. I learn just as much as those kids do. You wanna learn life lessons and Biblical lessons, teach children. They teach you more ways than one and God speaks to you as you teach. It's wonderful.

Afterwards, we had another family dinner at Nana's house. Sunday dinners at Nana's are the best. We celebrated birthdays. Papa's, Johnathan's, Megan's and Seth's even though the latter two were unable to make it. I love these little moments at Nana's house. We had pork tenderloin, fajitas, and tacos. Some of Nana's best meals! I can tell you I get a little depressed at these things. I miss cake. I miss frosting. It's sad, I know but you have a love for something you whole life and then you just it out. It's not easy. And I don't feel guilty about missing it. It's natural. It's a natural part of this process. This is what defines me. I can do three things about this: #1. I can whine and cry and go into a deep depression. #2. I can cheat and face the consequences of weight gain or dumping syndrome. #3. I can make the best of the situation and modify something to achieve the results I want. I chose option #3. I made a low carb, low fat, no sugar peanut butter cheesecake. It was amazing and of course my husband probably at 80% of the thing. That is what made me the happiest. He enjoyed his birthday "cake."

Sunday evening, we had dinner at my brothers. I know I talk about my husband, but the second most important man in my life is my little brother. He has given me so much support and has been there through it all right there beside us. We may not always see eye to eye, but without him, we couldn't have done this. I wouldn't be here bragging about my success.

We also looked at our fantasy league scores. Let me just say I murdered Julian Wheeland this week. This is all after our draft when he said "Your drafting with your heart and not head." HA! Boomer Sooner! Ask him what the score and if a girl really out did him this week?!

Yesterday was Johnathan's birthday. I know I brag about him alot. I love him so very very very much. He is an amazing man and I am one lucky girl. No, not lucky, blessed. I am one blessed woman. He's so good to me. The next time you see him make sure to tell him how wonderful that he is.

Last night, we got to be a very special team as part of the Pittsburg Baptist Association. We are part of a team that is organzing youth events for our churches in our organization. It was so humbling. I loved being a part of this team. The next thing we have planned in a Pre See You at the Pole Rally. It's free. There is going to be food and music and most importantly God's word. If you are or if you have youth ages 7th grade to Senior, send them. God has a calling for our young people to take a stand this September at SYATP! It's Sunday, September 20, 2014 from 2pm to 4p. I am so excited about this team and what God will accomplish through us!!

So, for this week, my focus is getting ready for the tractor show! It's in 9 days! We are so excited! We love this Muller time! And can't wait to see all you Mullers!!

Prayer requests for this week is that I just keep up this pace. Pray that I keep up the will power and strength because we are just one day closer peeps.

As always, thank you for your prayers and support. It means more to us than you know!
