How many of you can say you LOST weight on vacation????

I'm back!!!

Pounds lost since last week: 2 Pounds
Pounds lost since sugery: 62 Pounds
Overall pounds lost: 104 Pounds

So, last week was A-MAZING!!! Everyone should go to the Bahamas at least once in their lifetime. It's clear blue water and the smell of the ocean air. There's something magical about it. It's honestly what I miss most. I have a TON more pictures on the camera so be prepared for lots of FB posts with the pictures.

Our trip started off pretty good. We left work and headed to the Big D to spend the night. I found this website, parksleepfly.com. It lists hotels near the airport that will let you park there for free if you spend the night. Since our flight was at 7:40am, it was best for us to spend the night. They did mess up our reservation and gave us two queen beds instead of the one queen, but I was willing to let it go. We were going to be in the Bahamas in less than 12 hours anyway.

We got up at 3:30am. We got dressed and headed downstairs to meet the shuttle. It only ran on the hour to the airport so we wanted to be there in time. We checked out and waited on the driver. We waited about 10 minutes after 4:00am and when the driver finally came out. I was trying to balance my Coach purse and there was no step. I actually fell out of the van and hit my head on the concrete. I was so embarrassed. The driver didn't even look up from his phone to check on me. Here I am trying to check my head for blood and Google the symptoms of a concussion. Of course Johnathan wanted to cancel our trip and take me to the ER to check me out, but I wasn't having any of that. I was fine according to WebMD. I do have some pretty gnarly bruises from all this and all over too. They are on my arm, my back, my belly and my legs. It's still really embarassing but at least I didn't have a concussion.

The flight there was wonderful. It was beautiful seeing the the ocean from that view. The water is absolutely beautiful. And everyone saw that I didn't need a seatbelt extender right??? It was pretty awesome!

The resort was beautiful. The room was amazing. Again, the sweet salty smell in the air was part of my favorite. We spent most of our time at the beach. That's why we went. We did do a little sight seeing. We went to the pirate museum. It was pretty cool. I learned so much about the pirate era. We also took a tour around the island. Visited the Queen's Staircase and two forts. It was very interesting and very worth it.

It was also great to spend some time with Johnathan. I know I say this all the time, but I swear to you that I don't say it enough. I have an AMAZING husband. I am so blessed beyond measure to have him in my life. He's a wonderful husband and person and it was great to get away just the two of us to celebrate being married for five years.

I am a little surprised a did lose weight. While I did follow the diet 95% of the time. Their buffet had plenty of options for meats, cheeses and veggies. It was pretty good. It tasted good and fit in well. I did cheat....just a little. Conch is the Bahamas food. They say you don't have a true Bahamian experience unless you try it. So, they did fry some and I tried it. It was pretty good. It had this amazing sauce. We also tried their 5 star restaurant Aqua. It was nice and the food was very good. For an app, we had grilled provolone with a tomato pesto sauce. Then we had snapper and it was very good. Remember, when I said I could have one glass of wine?? And remember, the PA said that I would be a very cheap date?? I thought she was being a drama queen, but NO, she was not! She was not kidding around. After about 1/2 a glass, I was feeling it. It was pretty comical. So because it was a nice restaurant and I was feeling it. I decided to order a dessert. I ordered us a marscopone cheese cannoloni. I did not eat the cannoloni. I ate like three bites and it was heaven. There was also an after dinner drink list. Sherry was on it. So, I've always seen these movies where the classy broads drink sherry and I thought to myself, I'm classy. I'm gonna try it. DON'T DO IT!!! IT IS DISGUSTING!!!

I also cheated a little more with the drinks the next day. The pool had a swim up bar and I had to try it out once right??? So, I told the bartender that I wanted something Bahamian. So, I got a Bahama Mama. It was pretty good. So, why not another?? So, I ordered a Banana Daquiri. This might be my new favorite drink of all times so much that I bought a magnet with the recipe on it. It was pretty freaking good. Then that night at karaoke, there were these obnoxious sorority and fraternity kids there that were getting on our nerves, so I ordered their last famous drink, Rum Punch.

That's all I cheated though which isn't that bad. I didn't have fries or rice or bread. I was also a little more active because of the water and the walking so that helped. It was amazing and I miss it. I miss vacation.

I did miss my family though. I am so happy to be so close to my niece Rylee, my brother and my Aunt Ranee. They were the people I wanted to share this experience with the most. I was happy to spend some time with them when we returned. We do have another beach vacay planned in 36 days. That's when I'm supposed to meet my next goal so I've got to get my butt in gear and back at the gym. I have 16 pounds to lose in the next 36 days to meet the next goal. This week is not a good week for that though because it's SUPER crazy at work.

Last things before I close this novel is that we finally purged our closets. We have soooooooo much clothes that do not fit anymore. Since we are going to Galveston in 36 days, we are having a huge family garage sale, so if you know of anyone who needs some plus size clothes (28-22) or men's plus (2X-4X or 54-40) come to Tyler starting on Friday!!

So for now,as always, prayers are good! We offically only have 7 more months until we get off the pill and start trying, so pray that I meet all the requirements to make that a reality!! Thank you again for all of the support!

Happy Reading! I hope you enjoyed!!
