100 Pounds Since Surgery...GONE!
Here we go kids:
Pounds Lost This Week: 2 Pounds
Pounds Lost Since Surgery: 100 Pounds
Pounds Lost Overall: 142 Pounds
Pounds to go until GOAL: 53 Pounds
Yes! A loss! I've read the last 50 or so pounds are the hardest to lose. My body is getting used to the diet, the exercise and the lifestyle change. I'm having to work a little harder to get the weight off. No one said this was going to be easy. Actually, I have had a few "Negative Nancies" that have had the eggs to say "Didn't you have surgery? Don't you feel like you've cheated the system." I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say this again. NOTHING about this has been easy. The 42 pounds I lost before surgery were hard, but the 100 pounds since then have been even harder. Physically, it can be painful. The surgery and recovery was not a walk in the park. I had a real rough time afterward. This week, I'm experiencing a lot of lower hip pain. It's not fun. I'm told that my bones are adjusting to not having to support so much weight, but it's starting to hurt just to walk. This has not been all roses and daisies. Mentally, this has been such an adjustment. I've had to endure church dinners and family dinners where I couldn't eat what everyone else is eating. For Valentine's Day, I had refried beans and no fine chocolates. Do you know that food is present everywhere is almost the focus of all of our gatherings?! I've felt depressed and left out. Not to mention what I've felt about my body. I still feel like I weight 142 pounds more than what I do now. I still hesitate before sitting down in a chair because I might break it. I have to think about it before I squeeze through somewhere. This is NOT easy. Making changes are never easy and shame of you (if you are one and you're reading this) for trying to rain on my parade. I finally have a little confidence in my looks and I need support not your opinions.
So, off my soapbox.....
This week we had nothing big planned. I know, right?! Sometimes, I feel like we are always on the go. It was nice to not have anything to do. I also needed the rest. Let's be honest, the MCATIA took it out of me. I had not been that tired since after the surgery. I honestly don't know how I made it through the week. I was paler this week and honestly had a few moments where I thought I might pass out. I have to remember that life is not a race or a competition. There's no point in rushing and just running my life out. I need to remember that my body has limits and while it's good to sometimes push yourself, it's not okay to know that you're over doing it and keep on trucking. Remember in my earlier blogs, they told me to be selfish: to take care of myself first. Because if I'm weak or sick or in the hospital, I can't help anybody. While, this is hard for me, I think I may start trying to live by this. Do I really feel like.... Am I too tired.... It is okay to say no sometimes, right?
Friday night was movie night at the church. We also got to spend a little time with Ax. Those few hours with that gorgoeous little man just reminded me of God's purpose for me. I know that it is in God's plan for me to be a mother and for Johnathan to be a father. I don't know God's exact plan, but I do know that God has that plan for me. I also know that Johnathan & I are going to be great parents. I can't wait to share our love with a child on God's time and in God's way. I'm ready when he's ready. It's all up to Him.
Saturday, we decided to participate in the annual City Wide Garage Sale here in McAlester. I found some Christmas decorations that I'm pretty pumped about. We also went to treasure trunk which is one of my favorite places to buy clothes because they are cheap and I don't feel so guilty about buying clothes that I may shrink out of in a few weeks. I found two pairs of work pants that I'm pretty pumped to wear because they fit and they fit on my rear which is a hard find nowadays.
Yesterday, I bought new work out pants. The pants I was wearing were a 4X. I bought Large's yesterday. The 4Xs were no longer working for me. It was getting hard to read my Kindle, balance the IPhone, keep tabs on my heart rate all by holding up my pants because the drawstring was at the max. It was time. A 4X to a Large is pretty incredible. I also got some new tennis shoes because we are officially only 52 days away from DisneyWorld and we both needed a good pair of walking shoes that are broke in by then.
Today was picture day. I love picture day and I love sharing my scrapbook with people. If you haven't seen it, ask me about it. It's pretty awesome. I love seeing my progress. It helps me visualize the benefits of all my hard work and dedication.
So, this week we don't have big plans either. I'm honestly just going to keep on trucking on with the diet and exercise. I'm so close to the goal that I don't want to mess this up. I'm also going to work on resting. Like I said DW is just around the corner and that will be an exhausting trip. Anything to help get me ready for this trip, I'm down for. Which means taking it easy on the trips. The only other trip we have planned is to Martha, OK to the Fall Festival at Matt & Kellie's house.
Prayer requests are just for strength and some comfort for this hip pain. I'm giving it another week and then calling one of the doctors for some help. Again, thank you for the prayers and support.

What a great Muller Weekend!
Here you go!
Pounds Lost This Week: Gain of 1 Pound
Pounds Lost Since Surgery: 98 Pounds
Pounds Lost Overall: 140 Pounds
Pounds to go until GOAL: 55 Pounds
I know this is a step in the wrong direction. But I will be honest with you. Every week I weigh I take the whole number. I actually didn't gain a whole pound. I gained 0.4. But it's still a gain. I also believe this is water weight. I had a full weekend and it was pretty hot. I was drinking constantly and I feel I probably shocked by body. You might say it's an excuse and I could be completely wrong, but I refuse to let myself get down this week. It was too great of a week. And, I did follow my diet. I didn't eat any bread (even though I wanted to). I didn't eat any of Aunt Mary's cookies (even though I really really really wanted to). We walked everywhere. I was active. I'm doing what I said. Like I said in previous posts. Sometimes, it three steps forward and two steps back, but I'm defintely going in the right direction.
Wednesday night, we prepared for the weekend. I finished some homework and packed and got ready for a great weekend. We were up all night baking. We made several kinds of cookies that were sugar free and grain free. I really enjoyed it. I love to cook and to bake. I keep talking about how food is psychological. You never know how much goes into it until you don't do it anymore. Baking was something I enjoyed doing. I got to enjoy it again. In fact, the recipe of the week is for the NGSF Snickerdoodles. They were our favorites of the week!
Thursday morning, we slept in. We took the day off just to prepare for the weekend since we couldn't pick the girls up until after school. We lounged around and finally got loaded up and headed to do a few errands. The first errand was to mail Skyler & Jules one of the Muller shirts. BTW, I ordered a size large shirt. It was a little big on me. I tried on Skyler's shirt (my 13 year old nephew) and it fit. That my friends is another no scale victor. Anyways, we wanted to send the Sky-Man and Jules a Muller t-shirt. They are such a huge part of our family and they were missed this weekend. We wanted to share a little piece of that with them. I also sent a 95 piece bag of candy to accompany the shirts because that's what I do. I spoil my babies whether they are in McAlester, Edmond (Joseph), Duncan (Kainan) or Maryland, I love to spoil them. We cannot wait to see them.
Finally, we picked up the girls and the camper and headed out to Mullerville! The Annual Murray County Antique Traction Implementation Association Tractor Show! We love this time of year. It's called Mullerville because there is actually a section of the campground dedicated to the Mullers because there are so many of us there. The count was 96 of us at camp at one time. That is soooo awesome. But it's more than just family, great conversation and good food. It's a learnign experience. They teach you about farm life and farm life in the good ol' days. I learned that money is made from cotton. That's why when you wash a reciept it tears apart because it's wood paper, where money doesn't do that because it's made from cotton the purest form. It's so educational that schools are bused out to the grounds and educational booths are set up. Johnathan & Paul taught the Woodshop booth. I am so proud of them. The girls and I went around to the different booths and learned some more. My favorite it the quilting booth. I am obsessed with quilting. Quilts are so beautiful and they are such a large part of our heritage. Quilting was used for everything for death for birth for weddings for birthdays.
Saturday is the big day. There are tractor games. There are vendors. But the big thing is the parade. This is where all the exhibitors line up and parade their antique tractors. There are an array of them, but my favorite are the old Farmalls. There is just something so pretty about that red color and the mason jar. I'm gonna get one one day. They are too pretty. The Mullers are a large part of that parade. Even the announcer said "Brace Yourself. Here come the Mullers." They said there were generations of Mullers in the parade. I'm honored to be a part of this God-fearing loving family. God sure blessed me with not only Johnathan, but all of the Muller family. But I have to say, my Mr. Muller was the most handsome Muller out there on a John Deere ;)
Saturday night is the tractor rodeo. This is a fun night for the kids. We let Beth enter this year with Johnathan (again we heard 'thats not fair.'" She had a blast. All of the kids did. And even some of the adults *cough* Kent, *cough* Blake. We all just have a great time together. Again, I'm blessed to be a part of this family and blessed that they all love me as much as I love each one of them. After the rodeo, all of the Mullers took a family picture. There are 70 people in the picture. Look at the beautiful bunch.
So, what did I eat? The normal. I had good breakfasts that consisted of eggs and bacon (even though they had biscuits and I was sooo tempted to have a bite) and some good BBQ. There was rarely any food that I couldn't have. It's not always fun but it's healthy and still good. I want to stress, yet again, that I get to eat pretty flavorful food. I don't eat gross stuff. I don't eat bland. It's very flavorful. Flavoful and cheesy. And with a bunch of cooks like those Mullers, it definetly worth the 0.4 pound gain (still contending that it's water rentention).
So, as I got home, I started going through pictures. Johnathan and I really do look different. I'm proud of us. I found this picture from before and this one from this year. My belly was out further than my breasts. It's always so amazing to look at these before an after photos.
So, what now? No, I focus on that goal of being down 20 pounds before November 22nd, except now it's 21 pounds. I need to focus on food and the gym. The gym is a challenge because with grad school, I am so tired. I just need to find a routine that works with my schedule and energy level.
Prayer requests for this week include just prayer for me in general. Again, I thank you in advance for your prayers and encouraging words. They mean so much to me. And if you are a Muller, you are in my prayers and thank you so much for such a great weekend.

Goal #3! Achieved!
Even though I didn't blog yesterday, I did have my weekly weigh in!
Pounds lost this week: 3 Pounds
Pounds Lost since surgery: 99 Pounds
Overall Weight Loss: 141 Pounds
Pounds to go to GOAL: 54 Pounds
Remember after I met my last goal in July and then I set the goal to be down 20 pounds before the tractor show? I officially met that goal yesterday!! I thought it was touch and go there for a minute but hard work prevailed! I guess now it's time to set another goal. So, I want to be down yet another 20 pounds before we leave for DisneyWorld on November 22nd. So, start praying for me now. They say the last 50 is the hardest to lose!
So, this week was a rest and relax week becuase this upcoming weekend we have tons of stuff planned! So, of course, it just consisted of work, school, gym, repeat. It's kind of nice. You know one thing that I'm proud of is that we don't have all the drama that I see on Facebook consistently. I'm pretty happy with the way God designed my life and the people he has placed in my life. I am one blessed woman.
Friday, we decided to go shopping. You know Johnathan has lost 86 pounds. Together we've lost 227 pounds (that's an average adult male). Both of our bodies have changed and neither one of us had enought clothes to get us through this tractor show weekend. Some of the clothes I bought in July no longer fits me so I am trying not to buy expensive brand new clothes because I just shrink out of them in a few weeks. It's not as fun as it sounds. So, we went to Walls. They had a pair of Levi's size 12. I just wanted to try it out and see how much more I had to go before I can get them on. To my joyful surprise, they went right on. I didn't have to wiggle them on. I didn't have to do the lying down thing to get them to zip. I LOVE going down a size. It makes me feel so good. I cannot tell you the last time that I wore a size 12. I'm sure it was pre-junior high.
We also went to Atwoods. So, my Aunt Nae has these amazing red boots. She's always had these boots every since I was little. It's no secret that I think my Aunt Ranee is the most goregous stylish woman in the world not to mention one of the most influential people in my life. I've always wanted a pair of red boots just like hers. Last year I bought a pair of boots for the tractor show. I had to get the low tops in a size 10 (I'm a size 8.5) because I couldn't get my fat ankles past the top. A few months ago we went into Atwoods. I still couldn't get the size 8.5 over those ankles. But on Friday, I did it. And I bought the boots. They could've been for every penny in my bank account and I still would've bought them. I was so very proud of myself. And they look amazing.
The last thing I bought was a new OU hoodie. The one from last year was a size 3X and this was a man's size. I was able to get a size MEDIUM. It was a men's size, but still MEDIUM! I am so flipping pumped! It looks good. It feels good. Plus, it's Crimson so you know it looks that much more amazing. Boomer Sooner!
On Saturday, we got up and went to the Amish Festival. There were so many neat things there. I only went to get me some cheese and we got some. It was delicious. It was salty and creamy and way better than anything I've ever eaten! Rylee went with us and she was fascinated by the ice cream machine. It was like our ice cream machines powered by an old John Deere tractor. She couldn't get over it. Another thing, they sold animals. Do you know how hard it is to tell a 5 year old no?! First, she wanted a baby turtle. Then we passed by a man selling baby ducks. Sheesh. We need to get some land so we can get some of these things.
Sunday, we just relaxed and I worked on some of the grad school papers. We did some laundry and made plans for this upcoming week. Next blog you'll get to hear all about the tractor show and the wonderful family time that we got to have. Some of my favorite people will be in this weekend! Can't wait to spend time with them!!
On Tuesday, we officially booked the rest of our trip to DisneyWorld. We are so excited that we get to experience this with Skyler and Juliana. We miss those babies so very much. We love each and every minute we get to spend with them. We have our flights booked, hotel booked and the car rented. I can't wait. I'm like a kid. I've never been so this will an experience for me too!
So prayer requests for this week are for safe travels for our family who is traveling to this festival. Also, for God to put a safe hand over us as we prepare to have a good time and for good weather. Pray that I can keep my strength up to keep up with Miss Rylee and Miss Bethany. We love that these girls are coming with us.
As promised the recipe of the week:
Meat Crust Pizza
Ingredients:
1 lbs Ground Turkey
1 Egg
Black Pepper
Salt
I Jar Pizza Sauce
Italian Seasoning
2% Mozzerella
Turkey Pepperoni
Instructions:

2. Pat into the base of a baking dish so that the whole base is covered.
3. Cook at 375 for 20-30 minutes until the mixture is dark brown.
4. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
